Cook in a Nutshell | Dr. Cook's Hoaxes , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , Oil Scam! | Busted! | Email

Cook was known to be a fraud in 1909--1910
After those people died off his daughter resurrected dad's fraud by challenging a new generation to disprove the "achievement". How do you disprove what never occurred, for which there is no positive proof it happened?
When Cook faked climbing McKinley, he really faked it! He never even attempted to climb the mountain. This is what is so amazing; that he simply bribed a guide and made a few bad photos yet his descendents still maintain that he reached the summit!

In fact, Cook's daughter was able to keep the scam going for decades after the men died who knew it was all faked!

The Crook Society still publish his phony book. They even spent $35,000 of his trust fund money in the 1990's to take a summer vacationing at McKinley to add some color photos for the new edition of his 1907 fraudulent book. Does the IRS know that this is how tax exempt "charity" money is being spent? Wouldn't you like to spend $35,000 for a mountaineering vacation?
